How is a facelift procedure performed?

Typically, the surgeon will begin by making an incision along the hairline at the temples, extending from the natural line in front of the ear and continue along the earlobe. The skin will then be separated from the fat and trimmed or suctioned out. Dr. Hein will then tighten the muscles, pull the skin back, and remove the excess.

Depending on your goals and quality of your skin, facelift surgery can be combined with other facial cosmetic surgery procedures. Some of the most common of these are Botox ® injections and nose surgery (“rhinoplasty”). By performing these treatments at the same time, patients can achieve a more dramatic final result.
